Why does this happen?

Our server firewall blocks IP addresses for the following reasons:

• Multiple failed logins to our cPanel / DirectAdmin control panel, e-mail, FTP or website.
• Incorrect applications settings for applications you use to log in to e-mail or FTP (Outlook, FTP client ...).
• WAF Firewall can sometimes find characters in a web URL that relate to hacking or brute force entries..

Why does this need to happen?

Our firewall checks user logins and blocks users with more than 10 failed login attempts to your e-mail or more than 5 failed logins to your control panel, website or FTP.

It prevents brute force attacks which could cause damage to your user account with infinite random password combination logins.

This is highly effective security system which is absolutely necessary to prevent damage or stolen data.

WAF firewall protects your website from known attack methods, which recognizable from the URL.
