Slovenia is a small country located in the heart of Europe. The country has borders with - Italy, Austria, Croatia and Hungary. Slovenia is one of Europe's most diverse countries in terms of scenic beauty and has something for everyone. The country is known for its dense forests which cover around 50% of the country making it the third most forested country in the whole of Europe after Finland and Sweden. The Soca Valley is an area of outstanding natural beauty with the mighty Soca river which gives the region its name winding through breathtaking scenery which is considered some of the best in Europe, in terms of its unspoilt natural beauty. There are many lively towns, from the cosmopolitan capital Ljubljana which has been likened to a smaller and friendlier Prague to the beautiful ancient Adriatic port of Piran.
