Owners of rental properties in Slovenia who offer accommodation, must register in the register

The new law will also make it easier to report on tourism activity in Slovenia. A single register of accommodation will be set up, which will for the first time comprehensively cover all business entities engaged in accommodation activity in tourism.

Accommodation facilities are:

catering establishments offering accommodation (hotels, motels, pensions, accommodation, guest houses, hotel and apartment settlements, mountain and other hostels and campsites),

guest rooms at the rooms, farms (holders of supplementary activities on the farm), offering accommodation and marinas to guests.

Who has to register accommodation?

hotels, rooms,holders of supplementary activities on the farm and marin operators offering guests accommodation in an accommodation facility.

The proposal for the registration of an accommodation is provided by the accommodation operator or his legal representative, if he is registered in the business register, or by an authorized person, who is the provider of the accommodation activity his authorized representative is authorized to forward the proposal (hereinafter: the applicant).

 

On the basis of a complete proposal, AJPES shall record the accommodation establishment in the register and identify a unique identification number. A notice on the registration of the accommodation establishment in the register is issued to the proposer personally in the AJPES branch office or sent to the e-mail address indicated in the proposal for registering the accommodation establishment in the register.
